SUMMER 2025 OFFERINGS

YOUTH ORCHESTRA

APPLICATIONS & VIRTUAL AUDITIONS DUE THURSDAY, MARCH 13TH

Audition information will be given to applicants only after an application is submitted.

Audition for our new student orchestra program, an immersion program for intermediate high school musicians into the world of professional theatrical orchestrations.

After the wide success of our pilot Orchestra program in 2024, we are happy to announce the Youth Orchestra will return this summer! This facet of our theater program will allow talented high school instrumentalists to receive the unique experience of playing alongside professional musicians in a pit orchestra. After sending in an audition tape that demonstrates their skills on their instrument(s), they may be selected to accompany any of our three live musicals (Little Shop of Horrors, Hairspray, and Sister Act. In addition to rehearsing the music multiple times a week, student musicians will also experience the professional masterclasses and community-building that are an integral part of Scranton Shakespeare’s youth mentorship.

We are seeking instrumentalists from all families - brass, strings, woodwinds, and percussion.
